Setting and Implementing SMART Goals

People will often work hard towards accomplishing individual and team goals. Goals that meet the "SMART" criteria are highly effective because they offer very clear direction.

  • S = Specific
  • M = Measurable
  • A = Attainable
  • R = Relevant
  • T = Timely

One word of caution - not all SMART goals are smart! You may want to read a quick primer on good goals vs. bad goals to see the difference.
